The leaves haven't started turning in central North Carolina yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the color show will be like this year and how our unusually 'cool' summer will have affected it. There's a row of trees near my home that turn a brilliant magenta. They take my breath away every time I turn the corner and see the sun shining on the leaves. These are what I had in mind as I painted this scarf.
