The Amococo luminarium at Artsplosure.
Click the link if you don't know what a luminarium is... it's new to me too!
Artsplosure in Raleigh NC is this weekend, my first outdoor show since October. It's amazing how rusty you get with respect to show preparation when you haven't done it for a long time! Going through my travel boxes this week, I've found myself saying, "Oh yeah, I was supposed to have fixed/done/revised/attended to that over the winter!" all too often. So this week has been a bit of a scramble to get everything together. Maybe one of these years I'll be more organized...
From a pleasant week in the 70's we are set to soar into the near-90's this weekend, the perfect recipe for afternoon thunderstorms, which I'm hoping will hold off until later in the evening. As always, each show brings with it a mixture of hope, anticipation trepidation and anxiety... the classic gamble.
This is the 3rd year the luminarium will be in Raleigh for Artsplosure. I'm hoping to get a chance to go into it for the first time this year, as I've heard it's a magical experience. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a magical show too!
If you're in the Raleigh area, come see me in booth #110. Show hours are Saturday 11 - 7 and Sunday 10 - 5.
