Easter by the Beach

First of all, thanks to all who have subscribed to my newsletter! The response has been good. I'm so glad that the first issue is out and I can move on!

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. Ours was spent in N. Topsail Beach, NC, where Ron and I recently bought a rental beach house. Seeing that it was only just listed, we didn't expect any rentals for a while, so were kind of taking our time getting everything organized. (We bought the house in great condition and furnished, but there were still several things to get and do to make it rental-ready). Well surprise, surprise, we got our first rental for this week! So the weekend turned into a scramble to clean, paint, etc. etc. etc. Fortunately for us, our friend Ray was visiting for that weekend, and she was a great sport, pitching in to help. We have a great ocean view, which made the work that much easier. Even so, what we figured would take a day and half took 3 days! But it's all done now as we breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Here are some pix from our weekend.

On Easter Sunday we went to sunrise service in nearby Surf City, at a beautiful park on the sound. The morning was very foggy, which lent the appropriate air of mystery to the proceedings.
