Getting Ready for Seawall Art Show this weekend

August 27 - 28 are the dates for Seawall Art Show in Portsmouth, VA - a new show for me. Booths are set up along High St., in the waterfront area of Portsmouth. So far the weather forecast looks good!

The Village Art & Craft Fair in Asheville a couple of weeks ago was quite successful, in spite of booming thunderstorms that crashed through on Sunday afternoon. But the "problem" with having a good show, is that there's a lot of stock to be replenished! So I've been chained to my studio, felting wool onto silk chiffon to create nuno felted scarves and shawls.

I've been having a bit of a love affair with a black-white-grey color palette lately - here are some of the results! These are merino wool and various yarns felted onto chiffon.

Well... I couldn't resist a bit of color after all... on this next scarf the black wool is embellished with multicolored yarn and silk fibers.

Show Hours for the Seawall Art Show are:
Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday: 10 am - 5 pm

If you're in the Portsmouth area, do stop by! I'm in booth #31.
