Less than 2 weeks to go and still much silk to paint! I've always been drawn to water, particularly the ocean, so I've chosen 'water' as the theme for my show.
For the past several weeks I've been creating scarves and wraps that give the impression of water. Some will be draped on the walls and others will hang from the ceiling so you have to walk through silky flowing color!
A couple of weeks ago I spent some time at the beach with my family... we took advantage of the good weather to take some fun shots. Silk and sea breeze... a great combination, especially with help from 2- and 4-legged family!
These are just a few of the scarves that will be in the show.
I even pretended to be a model! lol
Here a some others that will be in the show... but no beach available for this shot, which I admit was taken in a great hurry with no creativity whatsoever... but you get the idea...
On Saturday May 30th, I will be back at the gallery to give an interactive silk painting demonstration, where all present will be able to try a little dye-painting on a communal piece of silk.
Time: 11:30 am - 1:00 pm - Come try for yourself!
