My artwork has been at a rather unusual venue for the past several weeks. Paintings and some scarves are at Beth Meyer Synagogue's Libi Eir (Awakened Heart) mikveh.
Rabbi Jenny Solomon will host an Artists's Reception on Saturday Nov. 22nd, from 12 - 1 pm. Beth Meyer is at 504 Newton Rd., Raleigh NC 27615. The mikveh is downstairs. Please join us!
An ancient part of Jewish tradition, a mikveh is a pool used for ritual immersion to mark special moments or transitions in one's life, like preparing for marriage or healing from illness.
Libi Eir exhibits the work of local artists in oder to stay true to the rabbinic principle of Hiddur Mitzvah, which teaches that Jewish life should be beautiful.
My work is spread throughout several rooms in the mikveh area -
I am very pleased to be part of honoring the Hiddur Mitzvah teaching!
All are welcome at the reception on November 22nd, 12 - 1 pm.
