Being in the heart of a university town, Franklin St. in Chapel Hill NC is a pretty lively place at the best of times. But it really comes to life every first Sunday in October for FestiFall. It's on this Sunday October 5th, from 12 - 6 pm. It's a bit unusual having an arts/crafts festival only on a Sunday afternoon, but it seems to work for FestiFall! All the booths are on Franklin St. between Mallette and Roberson Sts. I'll be in booth B29.
Even though this is my final street fair for the year, I've decided to go out with a bang! So I'm busy painting all the silk scarves that I can paint and nuno felting all that I can felt this week! I'm also playing around with some different display ideas for my booth.
Here's my booth at a recent show -
If I can manufacture some extra time in the next couple of days, I plan to go buy some body forms to replace some of my display hangers so the scarves look more like they're being worn on a real person.
Please stop in and say "hi" if you're in Chapel Hill this Sunday! For directions and parking info visit the FestiFall website.
