Cary Spring Daze on Saturday!

How could a whole week fly by so quickly? I feel like I've only just done with the open studio, and here is Spring Daze already! And it's not like I've been sitting around twiddling my thumbs! The paintings are still up on my walls, waiting to be boxed and packed into my van. There are prints to mat and notecards to make, to replace the ones I sold over the weekend. I guess it'll be a super-busy day today.

Spring Daze is an outdoor show held in Bond Park, just 15 minutes from home (yay!). We get to partially set up on Friday night - i.e. we can offload everything and even put the canopy up on the sidewalk if there's room, but it has all has to be moved into the road on Saturday morning. Just being able to offload ahead of time is great since things can get pretty crazy Saturday morning.

While spiffing up my studio last weekend I discovered this painting that I did years ago. I didn't really like it and had put it away and forgot all about it, didn't even remember it existed. Looking at it again years later I'm thinking it's kinda cool! I had intended it to be abstract flowers, but then I thought it looked like the tops of jellyfish, so I added some tails and called it 'Jellies Rising'. I displayed it and got some good comments on it, but I'm still not totally happy with it the way it is - I dunno - I might crop it a bit. Or something....
